Thermal Insulation Engineers

Our Industrial Services team are recruiting Thermal Insulation Engineers (Laggers) for work in Portsmouth starting ASAP.

Job Details: 

• Start Date: Job starting asap. Your start date will be based on security clearance and site requirements. 

• Rate: £24.00 per hour for all hours worked + £40 per night worked lodge (for travellers) 

• Duration: Ongoing 

• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 18:00, with possible Saturday and Sunday shifts 

• Location: Portsmouth 

• Duties can include be not limited to: Working on a variety of ships within a marine environment. Lagging ships bulkheads using paroc marine board, Lagging deckheads, Vent trunking using cork sheeting, Engine exhaust, uptakes, Pipe work using phenolic foam pipe section, Valves and flanges. 

Qualifications Required: 

• TTICA card, NVQ or apprenticeship papers

With this role, you will have to undergo the following:   

• Drug and alcohol testing as part of induction 

• PSS clearance for dockyard - This includes identity verification, employment history review, and a criminal record check. 

• Candidates must be willing to undergo SC higher clearance

• Must have a clean DBS (no criminal history)

• Must be able to provide the following 
  -Employment history for the last 3 years, including any gaps (i.e. universal credit proof)
  -Proof of employment by downloading HMRC work history 
  -Address history for the last 5 years
