MEP Manager - Electrical

Our White Collar Recruitment team are recruiting an MEP Construction Manager for work in Germany.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Assist and lead in the management of Site Safety in conjunction with the project team and the Safety management.
  • Play a lead role in the management of Site QA in conjunction with QA Manager.
  • Aid in the management of the Project Schedule in conjunction with the Project team and Project manager.
  • Management of and tracking of all costs associated with the Project, including: Labour, Materials, Plant& Equipment, Variations, and Valuations.
  • Support in the oversight of all day-to-day site operations.
  • Direct management of the Electrical/Mechanical Engineering project team, including alignment of all discipline leads to the benefit of project goals.
  • Management of sub-contractor activities, including tracking progress against schedule and staffing levels. Ensure that there is a weekly minuted meeting with the sub-contractor and Mercury’s Package owners.
  • Ensure direct labour hours and sub-contractor hours are reported to the time administrator for tracking centrally.
  • Lead Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings, and Handover Meetings.
  • Support with the close out of all project items, including Final Account, O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File, Material and Plant re-locations, and Project Plan – all with the support of the site project manager.
  • Ensuring all Sub-contractor documentation, including safety documentation, is maintained up to date and filed for future reference.
  • All other duties associated with this role.
     

Essential Criteria for the Role:

  • Electrical project experience is essential
  • Good, strong working knowledge of CSA Construction process
  • 5+ years of experience as a Construction Manager/ Supervisor on large industrial construction projects.
  • Trade background or third-level education in a relevant engineering/ construction background
  • Proven track record in coordinating and managing large-scale projects
  • Data centre experience would be an advantage
  • Ability to work in the EU (EU citizen or already have a work Visa)
